or cartoony? I dunno, I just don't really like them. I also don't really like any of the ball customizations from Golf It, either. Though I own both, Golf It was a gift, and I don't think I'd ever have bought it with my own money. But it may be because I played it game first (or partially due to that). Admittedly, I like GWYF more despite not yet having Workshop, and I play it a *LOT* more often. Personally, I like both games and I plan to continue playing each of them. All trademarks are property of their respective owners in the US and other countries. By the end of the second or third course, I was enjoying it.Īnother thing to note: GWYF seems to have a lot more options in regard to ball customization. But by the end of my first 18 holes, I was used to it. The change in controls was very jarring at first, and unpleasant. RMB will disengage the putter without hitting the ball, if you wish to adjust your aim. **Note: when the putter is engaged, you cannot adjust the direction of your shot. This can be both a positive and a negative feature, depending on your point of view. It feels a little more like you're playing mini golf, but it's clearly not as easy to control. you pull your mouse back and push/flick it forward with the desired amount of force. Golf It! - Use LMB to engage the putter, then actively control the putter with your mouse. **Note: You can change direction while click-and-drag to adjust the direction of the shot while simultaneously adjusting power. The tool is a work in progress and will be improved regurarly. GWYF - You click-and-drag to fill a power meter, then release and the putter hits the ball with that desired amount of force. This is a cheat tool/hack client for the game 'Golf With Your Friends'. The first and most impactful difference (imo) that I noticed was a difference in controls. Not only can you play a standard round of golf, but you can add in different abilities, such as being able to make the ball jump or perhaps playing with randomized objects from acorns to cylinders. The price is currently 6.99 on steam and is very cheap when looking at other game prices. You can connect your account to Facebook via the in-game settings menu (Grey cog icon), by choosing the Secure your account option. In conclusion, the game is definitely worth it for the price it is now. That said, I think both games have their merit.Īfter playing a LOT of GWYF, someone in my group of friends bought Golf It for each of us since it had Workshop (and thus a lot more content). Golf With Your Friends is a fantastic, chaotic game to play. Once your account has been connected to Facebook, any Facebook friends that play Golf Clash will automatically become your friend. The map editor is currently available as a beta build and will probably be in the next big content update for the title.
